Raptor Awareness & Conservation Day - May 25th 10am - 4pm

With the land use change over the past years, it is now more important than ever to help out British Wildlife. Join us at the Bird of Prey Centre for our Conservation day, this day is designed to give you an insight into conservation projects across the UK, and have fun with the birds as well. The day starts at 10am with an introduction by the falconers over tea/coffee; you will then be given a guided tour of the centre visiting many of our native species. You will have the opportunity to handle some of our native species, including; Barn Owl, Kestrel, Long Eared Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Red Kite, Golden Eagle, White Tailed Eagle and re-established now in the UK the European Eagle Owl. This is followed by talk given by a vet on what to do if you come across a wild bird or a disabled bird. In the afternoon you will be taken out to a nesting site of a Barn Owl in the hope we can see wild owls and then given a talk by a game keeper on how field margins help our wildlife. We then return to centre and finish off the day by free flying many of our native species, the ideal opportunity to see the birds in flight and to get some souvenir photos. Conservation pack and lunch is included in this day £35.00 per person – Book now as places are limited Call 01767 627527 or 01767 627752
