International Owl Day – August 4th

Join us for International Owl Day as we celebrate these very beautiful birds. Meet and handle the owls, have a go at flying an owl, take part in our owl quiz, watch our spectacular owl flying display, owl crafts and more, all included in the admission!

Herrings Green Activity Farm is home to one of the largest collections of Birds of Prey in the UK, view many different species of owls, hawks, eagles, falcons, kites and even pelicans! Take a walk over to the farm where you can visit many breeds of farm animals; donkeys, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, llamas, ponies and many more.

This Summer we have a packed daily program which will entertain all of the family, bringing you close to our beautiful birds and animals.

10.30 – Meet and handle an owl – Hold an owl, take photos and ask the falconer any questions you may have

11.00 – Pat a pet with the rabbits and guinea pigs

11.30 – Owl Flying display – See many different species of Owls in flight

12.15 – Tractor rides *weather dependent

12.30 – Have a go at flying an owl

1.30 – Animal encounter

2.30 – Flying display

3.15 – Tractor rides *weather dependent

3.30 – Meet and handle an owl – Hold an owl, take photos and ask the falconer any questions you may have

4.00 – Farm animal meet and greet

Take the kids to the outdoor playgrounds, have a go on the tyre run and for the little ones enjoy the ride on the toy tractors. Our tea room is open daily 10.00 – 4.00, serving sandwiches, wraps, cakes and snacks or alternatively you are welcome to bring a picnic. All activities are included in the admission.
