2 Day Bird of Prey Training & Management Course – October 12th & 13th 10.00 – 4.00
Led by our professional falconers our two day bird management and training course will take you through the basics of training and keeping birds of prey and owls. The course allows you to learn as well as meeting, handling and flying many different species of birds of prey.
Over the two days the course will cover:
- Falconers knot & safety of handling the birds
- Feeding & housing
- Flying weights & stages of training
- Equipment making – Learn how to make your own set of jesses
- Handle different species of birds
- Take a walk across the surrounding fields of the farm with the hawks
- Falconers language
- Law
- Flying different species of birds
- Health
A set of course notes is provided as well as a certificate on completion of the course.
Please note lunch is not included so please bring a packed lunch with you over the two days.
