Wrap up warm and join us for a magical autumn morning with some of our most beautiful birds of prey, followed by a warming hot chocolate and delicious slice of cake!

Step into the enchanting world of owls and kites with this unforgettable hands-on experience.

Meet the silent flyers of the bird world as you get up close with a variety of incredible owl species, including Barn Owls, Scops Owls, Tawny Owls, Eagle Owls and more. Our falconers will introduce you to each bird, share fascinating facts and answer your questions, with plenty of opportunities to take some fantastic photographs.

Then it’s your turn to fly them!

Head out to our flying grounds, pop on a falconry glove and experience the incredible feeling of an owl gliding silently through the autumn air and landing on your hand. You’ll have the opportunity to fly several different species and see these beautiful birds from a completely different perspective.

Your encounter then continues with a visit to our Kite enclosure, where you’ll meet both Red and Black Kites. Get the chance to hold these stunning birds and learn more about one of Britain’s most recognisable birds of prey.

Finish with something warm…

After your time with the birds, head into our cosy tea room and warm up with a mug of hot chocolate and a delicious slice of cake – the perfect end to an autumn morning!

And there’s no need to rush home. Full admission to Herrings Green Activity Farm & Bird of Prey Centre is included, so you’re welcome to stay for the rest of the day, explore the farm, see our birds and animals and enjoy our flying display and animal meet & greet.
