January 22nd – Owls

Pupils will have the opportunity to meet, handle and fly many different species of owls, these will include the Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, European Eagle Owl, Scops Owl and more. Children will learn all about the owls: how far can they turn their heads, silent flight and hunting techniques.

January 29th – British Birds of Prey

Pupils will have the opportunity to meet some of our native birds of prey including the Barn Owl, Kestrel, Little Owl, Tawny Owl, Red Kite & Golden Eagle. Pupils will be given a talk on each of the species discussing conservation, habitat & hunting techniques. Pupils will go on to handle some of the native species before heading out into the flying ground where they will be able to have a go at flying some of them.
