Halloween Junior Bird Keeper Day – October 26th 10.00-3.00

Calling all young bird lovers! This Halloween, swap the screens for the great outdoors and head down to the farm for an unforgettable day with our feathered friends!

Our Halloween Junior Bird Keeper Day is a full day of hands-on bird of prey fun, giving children the chance to step into the boots of a falconer and get closer to some truly incredible birds.

Under the guidance of our experienced falconers, children will meet and handle a variety of birds of prey, from beautiful owls and speedy falcons to impressive hawks and eagles.

They’ll head out into the surrounding countryside on a hawk walk, watching the hawks follow through the trees and across the fields. They’ll also have the chance to fly different species of owls, experiencing the magic of their silent flight as they glide into their gloved hand.

Throughout the day there will be plenty more to enjoy, including handling hawks and falcons, meeting some of our magnificent eagles and watching our birds take to the skies during a bird of prey flying display.

This is a really interactive, hands-on day, with lots of opportunities to ask questions, learn about the birds and discover what it takes to care for and work with birds of prey. Perfect for young animal lovers, budding falconers or simply children who fancy doing something completely different this Halloween!

Lunch is not included, so please ensure children bring a packed lunch, snacks and plenty of drinks. Much of the day will be spent outdoors, so children should come dressed appropriately for the weather with suitable footwear.

Please note: This activity is not suitable for children under 5 years of age.

Parents are welcome to drop children off at 10.00am and collect them at 3.00pm, or you can purchase general admission to the farm and meet up with your child/children at lunchtime.

Places are limited and our Junior Keeper Days are always popular, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment!
